As you drive up to our facility, you will be greeted with the open arms of St. Francis of Assisi. San Damiano is nestled in the hills above beautiful San Ramon Valley.
San Damiano has at its heart the Courtyard Garden and fountains. Meditation benches are provided for those who wish to enjoy the sound of the water. Beautiful plants and various birds inhabit the garden. It is a peaceful and serene place to spend time.

The Fireside Lounge, our largest conference room, can accomodate up to 120 people. Openness to the adjacent courtyard and oak wooded hillsides creates a comfortable, outdoor ambiance within the room. Equipment available in this room:

Quality meals are provided in our tastefully decorated Dining Room with its high wood-beamed ceiling. Large windows offer scenic views of the flowers and fountain in the courtyard on one side, and the classic oak trees on the other. We can accommodate varying dietary needs and vegetarians. Our dining room staff offers helpful and gracious service to all our guests.

Our 78 recently remodeled Bedrooms all have private baths. We have a limited number of double and queen size beds. In keeping with the retreat atmosphere no TV's, telephones or alarm clocks are provided in the bedroom area. Each room has a ceiling fan to help maintain a comfortable temperature. On arrival, beds are made. Fresh linens are provided in each room to remake the bed before you leave for the next guest.
Our Chapel is a peaceful and sacred place that offers people of all faiths and backgrounds various opportunities for quiet reflection and prayer. It can accommodate up to 140 people.
The spaciousness of the surrounding hillsides with their meandering footpaths provides a setting of serenity and peace for those in search of a deeper awareness of God. Our Stations of the Cross footpaths and meditation benches have been newly landscaped. You will find a Labyrinth in the Canticle Garden as well as a fountain and Meditation Benches.
