WHAT'S NEW
On Friday, April 18, Jane and Craig Wirth facilitated a Labyrinth Day here at San Damiano. The day culminated with the group spending time in the Canticle Garden walking our labyrinth. The group learned the specifics of how to walk the labyrinth and how to set intentions for your walk. Everyone is invited to come walk the labyrinth at San Damiano any time.
As Easter came early this year, so did our Holy Week Retreat. It is the premier retreat of the year with the Liturgies as the main focus. Here are some photos of the Chapel and Easter Sunday morning around the fountain renewing Baptismal vows.

We had a volunteer appreciation luncheon on January 15, 2008. Fr. Ray showed the volunteers a video and talked about San Damiano's history. The staff then served lunch to the volunteers who received thanks for all they do for our ministry.

Fr. Rusty and Paula D'Arcy's Mid-Life workshop January 29-31, 2008 was enjoyed by all who attended.

HEATING PROJECT UPDATE!
Special Thanks...to all of you who have so graciously supported our heating project! Up to this point, we have raised close to $60,000 towards Phase One of the project. The scope of the project costs approximately $700,000.
Initially we were going to upgrade our current heating system, which is just over 45 years old; we've decided instead to offer better temperature control in each of the guestrooms, as opposed to thermostats in the hallways. And after a very hot summer, our revised plan includes both heat AND air conditioning in each of the guest rooms!
We have submitted several grants and will continue to do so. We will continue to research grant opportunities and are deeply appreciative of your continued support of our facility and ministry here at San Damiano.
